This is a traditional wooden troller working in fine weather on open water with quite a few lovely dressed king salmon below decks.
The print shows the fo'c's'le, engine room, fish hold, water tanks, rigging, the wheelhouse and galley and the gurdies, or the hydraulic winches used by the fishermen to bring their fish alongside where they can hook them aboard - named for their resemblance to the "hurdy-gurdy", type of a crank-operated violin popular among street and carnival performers a hundred years ago.
