The drawing celebrates the traditions and service of the United States Coast Guar, the oldest continuously operational seagoing military service of the United States, This vessel is very loosely based on the Sentinel Class Fast Response Cutter, a multi-role rescue and law enforcement platform with an impressive top speed of 28 knots, driven by dual MTU 4000 series diesel engines. They also are equipped with a Safe Boats launch that can be deployed from a ramp in the stern that can be used which the cutter is under way.
Also pictured is a C-130 long range search plane, and a crab boat floundering in the waves.
