Hi! I am Mandy from Abundance Illustration! I lived in the valley of the Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau, Alaska. My studio overlooked the breathtaking Thunder Mountain. I saw eagles, ravens, and even sometimes black bear from my studio window. So needless to say, all my art is made from a place of abundance and wonder.
I have been an artist all my life and have worked with many mediums, but I am LOVING colored pencils. All my original framed drawings, card designs, tote bags, buttons and magnets were all made from my original colored pencil illustrations. I love capturing the personality in each of my animal drawings. I love doing this because I see us as equals. We are all in this together.
Juneau has amazing hiking trails that I love exploring! I try to get out into nature as much as possible. I feel a deep connection to the land, the sea, and the wildlife in Southeast Alaska. I feel this more so than anywhere else I've lived. After living in 6 U.S states and living in the British Virgin Islands, this says a lot. There is something wise and incredibly majestic about Alaska.
