This is a reproduction print of woodcut print titled “Full moon in Arctic twilight”.
An arctic fox hears a rodent under the snow, leaps into the air with the full moon rise in the twilight.
To create the original image, Yumi hand carved and hand printed it as reduction, using one shina woodblock total for 8colors (6 layers). She placed the lightest color first, then carved the block to the areas, which she wanted to print the second color. Yumi repeated this process until the block has only the area for the last color, umber-violet: only the areas for the outline of the fox.
