This is a reproduction print of linocut print titled " Dog-wood".
"This is the second of my pun series; dog and dwarf dogwood." - Yumi Kawaguchi.
To create the original image, Yumi hand carved and hand printed it as reduction, using one linoleum block total for 10 colors (10 layers). She placed the lightest color first, then carved the block to the areas, which she wanted to print the second color.
Yumi repeated this process until the block has only the area for the last color, dark brown: only the areas for dog's guard hairs left on the block.
